Marissa Ponikowski (nee Stapley) began her writing career in 1998 as a sports and community events reporter in her home town. She was still in high school. This first taste of life as a scribe inspired her to seek entry into Ryerson University's highly respected Journalism program, and she didn't rest until she nailed her first high profile writing job at The Toronto Sun. She went on to work in public relations for VisionTV and One: the body, mind & spirit channel before returning to her true passion and becoming a freelance writer. She is now a writer-of-all-things, from online eco-writing for Green Living to beauty, wellness and nutrition features for Elevate and Today’s Parent. She also writes business profiles for The Costco Connection and The Canadian Retail Council, interactive web content for Foodtv.ca and HGTV.ca, and a blog, which can be viewed here: http://www.savingtheworldinsensibleshoes.blogspot.com/.

In addition to her freelance writing gigs, Marissa provides communications materials for a variety of organizations, including Canada’s Department of Fisheries and Oceans, Grindhouse Catering, Open Minds Research Solutions, and more.

When you hire Marissa, the possibilities are truly endless. If she's not currently an expert on your topic, you can be rest assured she'll research it until she is.
